UTube Sues YouTube For Sound-Alike Web Name
The Ohio based Universal Tube and Rollform Equipment company have filed a claim in the U.S. district court, claiming that the video sharing site's name YouTube has caused its site, UTube, to suffer several crashes after millions of misplaced hits.

UTube says it wants YouTube to change its name or pay for the tube manufacturer to create a new web domain.
Universal Tube claims that it has lost significant business because clients have trouble locating its site.
This August, UTube received 68 million hits, many allegedly intended for YouTube. The incredibly high traffic strained the company's web server, causing it to crash.
Universal Tube was founded in 1985. YouTube was launched in early 2005.
The company's president Ralph Girkins said in an interview with the AP that Universal Tube existed 10 years before the popular YouTube.
"We've had to move our site five times in an effort to stay ahead of the YouTube.com visitors," he said.
YouTube boasts nearly 100 million videos viewed each day and is visited by an estimated 72 million visitors per month.
YouTube has yet to comment on the suit.
